The pressure on top high school students is so intense. We hear how Princeton is only admitting 9 percent of their applicants or Dartmouth rejected 3/4 of the validictorians who applied. This makes high school students (and their parents too) very scared.
But the reality is that you WILL get into college. If you apply to the most prestigious colleges you WILL get rejected from some of them. But ultimately you will probably find yourself at a college that is a "good fit." This may be one of the top 10 or so colleges or it may be at a great school that isn't top 10. But you will get in.
The dirty little secret of college admissions is that only 50 or so colleges are truly competitive meaning they reject loads more than they accept. The vast majority of good colleges accept students with solid grades, scores, courses, and extra-curriculars.
Take a deep breath. Relax. You WILL get into college.
Carpe Diem.

Never give up. You can reevaluate your goals periodically, but never give up your dreams. At the same time, don't pressure yourself to the point of ulcers or anxiety. A touch of anxiety is good for that competitive edge, but if you're straining under too much you won't be up to par. Good luck, and enjoy some R&R along the way. You are allowed to spoil yourself once in awhile.

A) We're usually our own worst critic. I'd say that's probably common to competitive students. It's a tool to keep us going. Creates drive.
B) The other students probably aren't doing "so much more" as you think.
So keep your head up. There are always kids that deserve it more but there are ALWAYS, ALWAYS kids that deserve it less.
Work hard. Stay human to people. You'll be fine. DON'T SELL YOURSELF SHORT or you'll regret it in 15 years. Nothing is worse than that.

Well, no because I was pretty much a slacker in high school. I screwed around with classes, skipped school, got high, vandalized a bunch of crap, etc., etc.
But I did get my **** together, and I did well in college. Now I'm in a top-notch PhD program.
So don't worry about it.

Do you fairly pick to renounce your scholarship? you would possibly want to bypass on-line or call up the colleges and be conscious what their bypass percentage is. and what their criteria are. In college bypass to each and each and each and each style, hand in all artwork on time, get help previously you want it. all colleges have a tutoring center, take earnings of it.

There is always someone smarter, faster, stronger, funnier, etc.
Focus on your strenghts and weaknesses.... those you can work on.
Unless you plan on poisoning or otherwise sabotaging everyone better than you, its the only thing you can change.
And no. I knew better
