if you eat a balanced diet every day that will help. and if your pimples are hereditary there isn't much you can do . washing your face is good but dries the skin and if you use moisturizer be sure it doesn't contain oils . clean and clear helps . sometimes pimple problems can only be cured by your Dr, or skin specialist.

Sometimes, washing your face a lot doesn't help. But anyways, I get rid of my pimples by washing my face, and then applying the product "Clear Pore-oiling controlling astrigent" from neutrogena. It's in a blue bottle, you can get it at Wal-Mart for about $5, and it really works. The only problem is that you also have to buy the cotton "pad" to scrub off the dirt from your face! =)

You need to make sure you aren't using bar soap. Germs stay on wet, dark surfaces. You use a bar of soap, put it down, turn off the light and walk out...GROSS! You need to get a line of professional products. Good ones to try: Dermalogica (what I use!!! <3, but can only be found in salons) Proactive, and some other things. You waste your money on Wal-Mart products..trust me. You need a cleanser, a scrub to use every other day, toner (not one that stings that is BAD BAD BAD for your skin) and a moisturizer...even if you have oily skin, you need a certain type. Go see an esthitician and she should give you your skin type analysis and she can point you in the direction of good products.

Try limiting your dairy consumption.

A 2005 Harvard study found a connection:

"Acne Associated with Dairy Intake…

A new Harvard study links dairy products to adolescent acne. A group of 47,000 women from the Nurses’ Health Study was asked to provide information about several aspects of their diet during high school as well as any incidence of physician-diagnosed severe teenage acne.

Researchers noted a positive association with total milk and skim milk consumption, along with instant breakfast drinks, sherbet, cottage cheese, and cream cheese.

No association was found with several other foods often thought to affect acne, including soda, french fries, chocolate candy, and pizza. The scientists postulate that hormones and bioactive ingredients found in milk may be responsible."

helps if yo wash your face with a hard core acne treating cleanser. also, there are medicated creams that you can put on before you go to sleep at night that will help. try to keep your face as sweat free as possible, bring a towel to wipe your face off during practice. also try to eat healthy, and try not to eat real greasy food. =)

Use Proactiv. I had a problem with acne that dermotologists couldn't fix, prescriptions couldn't fix, aestheticians couldn't fix. Then I tried Proactiv and all of a sudden my skin started looking good! After two years, it's still acne free.
