Can you rent a car in England and drive it through the chunnel and drop it off in Germany?

I am from the usa so i am not sure how the chunnel works but from what i know so far is that it is a train that goes from england to france but my final dstination will be germany

Yes, you can. I've done it, well, the other way around, from Germany back to the UK, but you'll pay a premium to do it.

The German car rental outfit Sixt have a bunch of outlets in the UK, so they might be your best bet.

Also, if you're heading across the channel, the ferry companies usually work out a lot cheaper than the tunnel, especially if you book online ahead of time, althought you usually need to supply the vehicle registration details, so that might not be possible for you.

The chunnel is a train so I would just take the train from England to France, then rent a car in France and drive to Germany.
If you are renting a car in England, you will have to take the ferry in Dover to get to mainland Europe

Dunrobin is correct in saying that you cannot drive through the chunnel, though what he doesn't seem to realise is that the cars go on the train as well as the passengers!

The channel tunnel is a trainline, but there are regular shuttle services where you can drive onto the train.
