If you take as a stupid game then what's the point in inquiring about it. Enjoy your baseball, which I feel is a boring and stupid game :).
You don't have even your basics right about who plays cricket. Anyway, I will help you out in some way and will provide some links where you can get more information.
There are different versions of cricket. Most popular of all are - One day Internationals(ODI), which last only a single day and Test matches, which is a five day event.
I would explain ODI as you can take test match as combination of two ODI, with some difference ofcourse, where each team plays alternatively.
Each team comprises of 11 players, one of which needs to be a keeper (person who stands behind the stumps). Normally team have 6 or 7 good batsmen and 4-5 good bowlers, though all players bat and any player can bowl.
In ODI, each team gets 50 overs, each over comprises 6 balls, to score runs. Each bowler can bowl maximum of 10 overs. The ground details you can check by clicking on the links. Usually runs are scored in - 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, and 6s. There are provisions of wide ball and no balls in which case the bowler has to ball one extra delivery and batting team gets one extra run. There are 11 ways in which a batsman coulld be out, these too you can check by clicking on the links. After 50 overs the second team comes to bat and they have to surpass the total posted the earlier team to win else the first team wins. Also, as there are only 11 players, each team has 10 wickets in hand at the start of the play - that is they can score runs til 10 wikcets have fallen. If the bowling team succeeds to get them out before the target total or if the batting team is not able to achieve target in 50 overs then bowling team wins. Thats enough and rest you can get from the links.
Again, one sport could be good for one and boring for another, so its just a matter of interest.

Ah, it's not just "Arabs" and us Aussies that play it. It's played in England, India, South Africa, The Carribean New Zealand and heaps of other former colonies. Did you know the first international match was between the USA & Canada? So, it's actually quite a widely played game......more so than another bat & ball sport I know that plays a "World Series" between 2 teams from the same country every year.
The point is to score more runs than the other team. Each time you run between the wickets, you get 1 run. If you hit the ball to the fence and it bounces, it's worth 4 runs, and if you hit it over the fence on the full, it's 6 runs.
The fielders can catch the ball on the full, off the bat, knock the wickets over while the batsman is out of his crease, bowl the ball and knock the wickets over or, hit the batsman on the pads while he's in front of the wickets to get him out. After getting 10 men out, they change sides.
2 innings test matches last 5 days, with both teams needing to bat twice. 50 over day-night matches last about 8 hours, with a limited amount of balls each team is allowed to face (300 each). And 20-20 matches last only a few hours, with each team only facing 120 balls each.

The point is to crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.
Here's a link to a description of the sport and rules:
