i applied jobs at like london drugs, and home depot, places like that because they had openings
the only way to apply is through internet
i've applied for the openings and they didn't contact me, but it has been a few months and they still have these openings (and they update their openings every month)
and i've applied like twice already..
i believe i'm well qualified for those jobs and why is it they can't find employees but they won't even contact me for an interview?

It may be that the companies do not have any openings in the areas advertised but they list those areas to build up a data base of applicants so when there is an opening they can just start calling potential hires. There is tremendous turnover in retail jobs and these companies are constantly hiring new employees as one quit or are terminated. Hang in there. Call the local store you have applied for and just touch base with them a couple times a week. That way your name will be fresh on their minds at hiring time.

In all honesty, the human resources department may be too busy to screen and interview candidates. This sometimes happens in my business. Many departments will be dying to interview candidates, but HR can't get them through the initial screening process fast enough. In addition, if the website is not well-maintained, postings may seem available longer than they actually are, if no one withdraws the requisition for the position. I would keep inquiring through various means until you connect with HR to ask about your status in the application process.
