First of all, I'm sorry your friend had to go through that. Secondly, take no notice of the people on here judging her. They don't know her and they don't know her situation. Let me be the one to tell you that having an abortion should have absolutley no effect on your fertility or your ability to carry a baby. It's an extremely rare occasion when something does go wrong so tell your friend not to worry. Having an abortion doesn't increase the risk of miscarraige in subsequent pregnancies.

Often women have no problems carrying a pregnancy to term if they have received an abortion in the past.
I would suggest some counseling for your friend. Just someone she can talk to as well as discuss her medical risks. She should be able to call the clinic where she had her previous procedures as most offer free counseling at any time after a woman has had a procedure.
She does have other options other than abortion.
One thing is certain, your friend needs a FRIEND. Someone to confide in, talk to, discuss things with and not feel judgment.

I went through a prodedure called a D&C which is typically opening you up and cleaning you out, and can be used for an abortion. I read somewhere that it can cause an incompetent cervix, meaning she may miscarriage easier.
But why is she pregnant again? She has had 2 abortions, obviously she doesn't want kids, maybe you should tell her to keep her legs shut and in turn stop killing innocent babies!
She should be sterilized!

a little higher chance than normal. Just be there for her. Why'd she abort the first two BABIES? After this one, advise her to go on birth control. it will lessen her heartache and give her time to love her new baby.
i don't want to sound rude. Just be a good friend. Watch her baby once a month so she can relax for a night. But no more than that.
BIRTH CONTROL! ( life savers, for more than one reason)

i don't think she's going to miscarry. she's already been pregnant twice before, why would she not be able to have a child now? look, i don;t mean to preach because it's your friend and not you, but pass this along for me. ABORTION IS NOT A FORM OF BIRTH CONTROL! close your legs or suffer the consequences. having multiple abortions can cause a weak uterus and cervix which can cause her to not be able to have children when she wants to. my advice to her is to have the baby and give it up for adoption.

The risk of miscarriage is greater for women who abort their first pregnancy.

I have heard...but not sure...that if a woman has too many abortions, your body begins to reject a fetus. but that is something that I have only heard. if she is SO concerned, she should consult her physician. hope she is okay
