If you're talking about over the counter antifungal creams or diflucan then YES IT"S HARMFUL! This is for the same reason why we don't take antibiotics if we don't have a bacterial infection. Using too much antifungals could mean getting yeast infections from drug resistant yeast. You might want to try some sort of natural remedy if you're not sure that you have a yeast infection. There's tons of natural remedies at this site: http://yeastinfectionsymptoms.blogspot.com/

no, but why would you use something that you don't need.

sometimes a infection called bacterial vaginosis (not a STD)will have some of the same symptoms of a yeast infection, but will not be cleared by yeast infection medications. It needs to be treated by an antibiotic.

Yes.
I once had an infection and tried to get rid of it quickly. I used one-day canestan two days in a row. Had a very uncomfortable weekend. Almost like a chemical burn.

Get checked and find out if you have a yeast infection. If not, don't use the meds. They can make your condition a lot worse.

Why would you want to use this if you don't need to? But for general purposes I don't believe it would if it weren't on a regular basis. But if you are pregnant it could make you lose the baby. I would contact a dr. before doing it.

yes it is if you really have an infection it might not work because you used it so much when you did not have one.
