Ha ha ha ha... the only reason i'm laughing is I have a black cat! He's completely black, poor thing has to get locked up on Halloween! People are so mean!
It's a superstition, but if you believe you will have bad luck it will happen! If you believe in anything enough it will happen!

Nope, that's just a silly superstition. People used to believe that black cats were witches' "familiars", or assistants. So seeing a familiar was considered bad luck.
In fact, it's actually good luck to see a black cat at night. If you don't see him, you might trip over him.

LOL no, my parents have 2 black cats that they have had for yrs and the cats are not bad luck

No, that's just an old wives tale. I own a black cat and that little stinker hasn't brought ANYONE ANY bad luck. LOL! Well, except for when he gets moody and decides to bite someone. ;0)
