Today 1000 Won is worth about $1.00 US. Numismatically it is probably worth more as an old note. It would have to be in excellent condition.

Dont go to a bank... they usually give the current won rate which is usually at about 905 won to a dollar... but go to small money exchange places on the side of the street they usually give aroun 920-925 won to a dollar. Good Luck!!!

It will be worth more as a collector's item. A won is now about 1/1000 of a dollar.
