My daughter found out that most places won't hire until you are 16, some places are even 18.

Many states permit minors to start work at age 14 within restriction specific to each state. Usually a work permit can be obtained through your school office. You will be only able to work a limited number of hours and only at certain times, for instance not later than 9pm on a school night. There are very limited jobs that you can hold before then, but often your best bet is to do babysitting or chores for family and friends.

most mcdonalds or other fast food restaurants will allow you to work at age 14 or 15 althought they will most likely start you out at minimum wage. My recomendation is to start at an amusement park or another restaurant that does not consist of fast food. Good luck.

As far as Canada goes it all depends on the province u live I believe. If u live in Canada try googling your provincial labor laws.

it depends on which state you are in and generallly, at least in MA you arent allowed to work more than 2 hours a day which means no one will hire you if ur under 16

Um, to work legally I believe it's 14. But, other places have different ages I think. So, check with them when wanting to apply. =]

15 u need a workin permit though from ur school or job and have the job fill it out and or school
