Me too. My office/job is 15 minutes from the beach. I can smell the salt air every time I walk out the door.

The palm trees swaying are nice too.

Life is good. At least for you and me!!

I am from new Brunswick so I really love the smell of salt water but now I'm living in Montreal. The smell of city air does not compare to the country air that's for sure.

I feel the same way about the ocean that the Aboriginies do. I know the ocean is there but, it does not make my mind and heart race with joy. Their awareness of nature is at a higher plateau, and they do not have to demonstrate to people the fact that they need to show that quality.

The finest ocean view I have ever seen is along the Coromandel Peninsula on the east coast of the upper North Island of New Zealand. It is there for all to enjoy, unlike here in California where people owning Ocean front property quickly excercise their property rights to deny people access to the beach.

I couldn't agree with you more! I was born on the coast of British Columbia, Canada, and I love the smell of salt air. Don't live on the coast anymore, so I kinda miss it. :(

"The sea pleases my senses. I love the sound of gentle waves lapping against the rocks, I adore the smell of the salty yet sweet breeze, I enjoy the feeling of the warm air brushing against my face, I like the view of the sunset on the watery horizon, I am fond of the taste of a freshly caught and cooked fish. But sadly, I only hear the sound of broken glass being pushed against rocks, I only smell garbage and rat crud, I only feel debris whipping against my face, I only see waste floating in the water, I do not eat fish from public rivers or lakes, due to the risk of tapeworm. I live near a river that reminds me of how careless people can be."

I was born and raised in NJ about 8 miles from the ocean. And yes, I love the smell of salt water. We don't have any in the piedmont region of NC.

Sorry, all I ever smell when I'm around salt water is dead fish. I can't say it's a good smell for me.

Yes I do. The back of my house is the Pacific Ocean. It makes me relax especially when there is more wind and less sun.
