Arizona. It's close to California, Vegas, has the Grand Canyon, and isn't all that different from where I grew up.

More importantly, it manages to avoid being either righteously crazy or pounded with annual hurricanes like every other state down there.

Guess there's New Mexico too...what exactly goes on in that state anyway?!

Louisiana! Because you can still drink in public there, Crawfish are awesome, so is the cajun food. Lots of outdoor activites, like hunting and fishing.
