not acting like the popular kids
not having what the populsr kids have
not doing what the populars kids do
not liking what the popular kids like
not disliking what the popular kids dislike
not hating or picking on the people popular people do
pretty much if ur popular ur most likely not ur self and other people who dont fit the guide lines are not popular when they r just being their self. Popularty is adegrading thing to soo many people. Im not popular and proud of it because I wouldn't be me if I was popular.

I think that the only reason kids are unpopular at school is because of low self-esteem. They don't have enough confidence in themselves and their abilities to stand up and declare that they want to be different.
The stereotypical popular kids are all the same - athletic, Abercrombie-clad kids to whom "cool" means "discontent and pseudo-rebellious". Kids like these - I'm generalizing, lots of popular kids are popular because they are kind, funny, intelligent, etc. - typically make themselves feel better (it has been shown that bullies have self-esteem issues also) by picking on the unpopular kids because they don't look the same or participate in the same activities.
It's unfair, but true, however, the unpopular kids can go on to lead successful, happy lives just like everyone else... fortunately, high school drama isn't very lasting!

I am the most unpopular girl in the school. I'm a weirdo and a geek. I'm a foot taller then half my school and my interists are different that most people's. There are more rumors about be then are countable and they tease me endlessly. I'm afraid they'll pick on my best friend until she leaves me like all my other friends have. If I stand up for myself then I'm standing to the entire school. It's really my fault. I am the one that was weird.

Being overweight sometimes makes you unpopular,talking toomuch,being too queit,when everyone's jealous of you,etc Now days anything can make you unpopular

unfortunately what makes kids unpopularity is non-conforming behavior.... pretty much. But don't fall into that mode... be who you are regardless of this so called status quo... you'll find that you'll be happier in the long run.

Usually it's just that they don't look or act like the kids that are popular. In very bad cases, it's because they have low self esteem.
