I have this lump on my throat, I think its a swollen lymph node. Its is completely painless, but has been there for a year or so. I seen a doctor about six months ago, but its hasnt lost its size since. I am very concerned that it might be cancer. can somebody please tell me what it could be?

you need to have a thyroid check..lots of times when those are swollen there is something going on, and that is something that you don't need to wait on....what did your doctor say six months ago about it? Sometimes a second opinion is best..
My best answer for you is to have it checked cause it may not be anything now, but yes can be cancerous down the road,

Better safe than sorry

A painless swollen lymph node is a sign of a thyroid problem, which may include thyroid cancer. I would recommend going to a professional on the topic. Cancer is a scary word, but in this variety of cancer is rarely terminal as long as it is taken care of.

go to a different DR. and have him check it out. It is very important that you do that and right away ok.

Find a new doc who can refer you to a specialist, if necessary!
