is it right for yahoo to remove a legitimate question because it conserned marijuana? the question did not recomend or suggest the use of marijuana. nor did it contain any abusive or vulgar language. as a matter of fact it was not in breech of ANY of the posted yahoo! comunity guidelines and regulations.

I had a question removed because it was about Marilyn Manson.

There was no swearing, profanity, racism, or anything insulting, but because they didn't like my wording, it was deleted. It made me sad when there are so many dorks out there who can't spell and who ask horrifying questions thinking they are being funny.

Serious questions about sex and drug use should be allowed... and honestly, anyone under the age of 14 should not be.

No! It's Not right because I have seen other questions regarding the same subject right here on Yahoo Answers.

Case In Point: Look up Pushy Buttafly and check out her questions!

There are far worse things asked on here. Without seeing the original question, it's hard to say but if in fact it didn't breech any of the guidelines than I would say NO.

While it is not particularly 'open' to do so, This website is provided for free by yahoo, and there is no implied or stated freedom of content here. Maybe Yahoo, like many of the rest of us, is simply wary, disenchated, etc, with the notion that someone who likes pot has the right to 'force' details of their lifestile upon the rest of us. Pot has been around forever, it is not edgy, hip, cool, or new. it is a plant. it is a drug. it is a choice. It is not, however, a social statement, as most avid pot smokers will tell you it is.

There is no person on Yahoo staff looking at this stuff. As far as I know it simply takes one person (Answerer) to report it and it gets deleted. Post it again and they might not see it and it will go right on. One night my husband had one Q after another deleted for "chatting" for asking what people thought of his picture. The next day he tried it again and it went. Just try again, perhaps reword it. Best wishes

it's not like you were advertising where to pick up a dime bag. (were you? i didn't read it.) still, i don't think a question like that should get quashed when we have any number of people making explicit sexual comments (in jest or not) one after the other. it's a forum after all.

i'm not sure about the specific rules on this, but i am familiar with several others that aren't exactly hard core enforced. it seems a little dicey to me.

Well I don't know what the 'question in question' was...lol...but I've had more than one drug question here with no complaints.

For Christ's sake people, are you so afraid of the government that you are even scared to TALK about illegal drugs? Whatever happened to freedom of speech?

They've got you brainwashed good. They like you.
