Soap is in fact the worst thing to wash vaginas with. You could use soapy emulsions that have a pH between 3.5 and 4 which corresponds with the internal of most women. If you want to give someone a treat, try a mixture of honey and lemons/lime, make sure though it doesn't exceed a pH of 4.5 use sensitive litmus paper to check it. The honey although it is a sticky substance actually kills bacteria and the lemon can function as a second barrier in case the spermies decide to jump in unexpectedly acid drives them crazy and sort of renders them steerless.

I always use a body wash, if not available, use your shampoo if it is a decent one...
I quit using regular soap many years ago because it felt as though I didn't feel or smell fresh from it at all, haven't had a problem since I switched...
Being a larger lady you really have to be extra careful with your hygiene, Ecspecially in that area...

P.S. They do have feminine washes, but I think they don't work nearly as well as my shampoo, or body wash, too over-rated and expensive...

Good luck, and Stay fresh...

Your not being very concise. You infer you put soap INTO your vagina. NO that is BAD. Soap on your pubic, your clitoris, vulva and labia OK .. just not inside. use a commercial product for that. I see many mentioned here.

No soap....never directly to the v-area.....the ph balance will be disturbed. There are special products for this particular body part....till you find one- wash only with H2O.

Actually it is best not to clean it out with anything. Talk to your obgyn., about it. Mine states that it is better for you not to do anything like deusching at all. That particular area of your body has a way of cleaning itself.
