I'm trying to locate some good off-road trails when I go to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge in a couple weeks. I've got a Jeep Wrangler I'm anxious to take up in the mountains on some dirt paths.
I want to find something easy, but challenging. Please give real answers/links, no junk please. Thanks!

Go to a visitors center in Gatlinburg and ask for a map of the off-road trails. The Sugarlands Visitor Center is the best one for maps. I know in Cades Cove there are 2 one-way roads that you would like. One is called Rich Mountain Road and the other is Parson's Branch, but I'm not sure it is open yet. It was closed several years ago because rain washed it out.There is another one called Balsom Mountain Trail which is on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Cherokee. Have fun!!

I believe Tellico is close to you. It has some of everything from easy to ridiculous. It's fun to watch others do the crazy stuff. Anyway, if it's within an hour from you, you should go.
