If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

Try limiting your dairy consumption.

A 2005 Harvard study found a connection:

"Acne Associated with Dairy Intake…

A new Harvard study links dairy products to adolescent acne. A group of 47,000 women from the Nurses’ Health Study was asked to provide information about several aspects of their diet during high school as well as any incidence of physician-diagnosed severe teenage acne.

Researchers noted a positive association with total milk and skim milk consumption, along with instant breakfast drinks, sherbet, cottage cheese, and cream cheese.

No association was found with several other foods often thought to affect acne, including soda, french fries, chocolate candy, and pizza. The scientists postulate that hormones and bioactive ingredients found in milk may be responsible."

One common mistake people make is touching their face with their hands. DON'T DO THAT YOUR HAND ARE LOAD WITH DIRT!!!! The skin produces excessive oil if it needs moisturized, use a good quality moisturizer, and wash your face with a soap called purpose. Purpose is a glycerin based soap that cleans well and rinses well w/no residue. Wash your face 3 to 4 times daily and moisturize at night before bed..most acne soaps dry you skin as a way to rid oils but sometime your skin becomes overly dry and looks as bad as the zits...try this simple regime and I guarantee you will see results in about a week or less..AND KEEP YOUR HAND OFF THE MUG....

I have suffered acne so much as many of you have had.
I had tried everything such as pills, crème, lotion, those are made by brand name companies, but I was so stressed because they didn’t work.
One day, I knew aloe is good to treating acne, and one of my Korean friends told me of a product called Aloe Enne from Namyang Aloe.
I tried it several weeks, and I am so pleased about the result.
After cleaning up my face, I put it on my face, and it feels like my skin gets much moist and healthier. I think aloe really works.
So I hope you have the good skin too.

By prescription only, but my daughter uses Clindagel. A once a day topical ointment, she usually applies it before bed. It was recommended by a co-worker for her that had awful acne, they now have clear skin. The presciption also seems to fade the scaring that occurs. There's a rebate at the website. :) Best wishes.
