Well you have two options.
1. You can go to your laptop manufacturer's website and order the compatible port replicator (Docking Station) for your laptop and that may have the right connection.
2. Buy a new printer for what 50 bucks. 80 gets you an hp printer scanner copier.

I'm assuming an LTP port on the printer and a USB on the laptop. If this is the case, go to Wal-Mart and by a LPT to USB cable. They make 'em, and they seem to work just fine.
Just a thought, for the price of the cable and a new ink cartridge you could probably buy a new printer. Just a thought.

what kind of connector do you have (usb, parallel, etc.). You can set up a wireless network and print that way. We need more info...

You can get the parallel-usb converter and then you can connect it with your laptop.
