My dad would like to build a bentwood rocking chair and would like some help.

Using thin strips and soaking them in a solution of water and a small amount of detergent Ivory Liquid works well. Next saw out the pattern for your rockers and the other components out of scrap plywood. Shape the well soaked strips around the patterns and add repeat strips until you reach the desired thickness. Let the wood strips dry well then remove them and apply glue between the strips to get solid pieces.......Repeat the process as needed to build all components.

You need a steamer and some braces.
