the all depends on the speed of the currents, clarity of the water, and how big the waves are (if there are any). look down 2 c where the bottom is. if the water is 2 deep/dark/dirty, try throwning a rock (the biggest 1 u can find that fits in your hand) in2 the water. if water splashes back up, then it is very shallow. if none comes, then it is deep, possibly as deep as the sea (who knows).

It depends on how murky the water is! There are some lakes in Florida where you can't see past one or two feet! Then there are springs where you can see eight or nine feet all the way to the bottom, where the fish swim around and look bored.

Sometimes it doesn't matter how deep it is. If the bottom is solid mud, you can drown in it anyway.

might be really deep or the water could just be filled with stuff but if you think its really to deep and to wide dont swim in it cause if you cant catch up to the end you might drown. but dont panic...lol
