No they are not "pure". There are very small populations of indigenous peoples left. When the Spanish came to Mexico in the 1500's they interbred with the natives creating the medium-dark-skinned Mexicans you see today. ('Mestizos') The ones who are very dark are most likely indigenous or have at least one parent who is. The ones who are lighter skinned have more Spanish blood than Indigenous blood. (They are called 'Creoles')

They don't get along and families don't like it when a light-skinned wants to marry a dark-skinned

The people that lived before anyone were native americans and MANY spaniards came and raped many of the native american woman so thats why u see some mexicans that look white and the spaniards taught them spanish and then the country mexico was invented (or state i mix em up) after at least 100-50 years i dont know they revolutionized and kicked the spaniards out and they called themselves mexicans. thats why when americans came and had slaves to work for them whenever they came in mexican territory they requested that they have no slaves cause they were once slaves once and thats how the mexican american war started thank u for your time.

I don't support illegal immigration, but they may be mixed somewhere down the line. However, the culture is really different. The truth is Native Americans are the real Americans, however, some immigratend to Mexico and started a new culture. It's not talked about, but they aren't considered Native American due to Mixing, African-Americans are considered more American than African, yet don't get treated that way, but Africans won't accept them as fully African, only as black people, but not real African. Native Americans that are living today are still here and thriving. The thing is Mexicans are mixed with Europeans, Spanish, and few others. They are not considered Native Americans, but I don't support illegal immigration. They make it seem like they can come illegally and nobody cares. I won't justify it , though. Blacks deserve benefits...

I wouldn't assume a Mexican has Native American blood in them.

However, your question is relevant because there actually used to be a class system used. Spaniards were the highest, followed by mixed blood Spanish and Indian (called mestizo), then Indian.

First of all there's not a thing as pure race.
Everyone has a mixture of races. Yes there's a llarge percentage of mestizo, but there's also other races their are white mexicans and black mexicans.

The vast majority are a mixture of Aztec or Maya or other indigenous group and Spanish(mestizo), so yes.

yes, about 60% of mexico's population is mestizo (half european-half native american).

There is no such thing as a pure race.
