5 minutes and then it freezes. i can still hear the music though

Your computer might have a virus. Or maybe you just need more space on your computer.
Check and clear any virus or sypware, etc. in your computer.
Get rid of stuff that you don't use or need.
Another thing, is the CD scratched?
That might be the problem.
Check the recommended requirements on your box or CD case.
That is probably another reason.
Did you go with the minimal requirements?
That's probably why it keeps freezing every 5 min.
I'll add more stuff if I can think of anything else.

I don't get it. Which program are you using? I can play Michael Franti & Spearhead just fine on Limewire AND ITunes.
If all else fails, bring a microcassette recorder to Golden Gate Park on September 9th to the "Power to the Peaceful festival."
