you need a Wireless Router setup with a WEP code, then you need to register the WEP code into the DS settings (automatically or manually, w/e u find better) then you can play as long as your in range of the Wireless Router

You need to connect from Wireless. Either connect from your Home AP, or go to a wireless location listed on nintendo's web page, or you could get the wireless connector for your computer...
