Hi, I think I might be pregnant, but I'm not sure so I'd appreciate your opinions.

I have been pregnant 6 times in the past so I usually know when I'm pregnant, the sysmptoms are always the same, mood swings, sore boobs, skin changing etc etc
Before anyone says do a test, I've done three ... all negative BUT I know from experience that tests dont work with me until I'm as far gone as 10 weeks.
My symptoms are (in order of when they came on) tiredness all the time, nausea, then 2 weeks later, ever so slight tender breasts, now - I've retained enough water to fill a swimming pool. I'm normally a size 10/12, at the min I cant even get into size 14 clothes. I can feel a swelling in my lower abdomen... but surely I shouldnt if I'm only a few weeks pregnant.

The reason I'm so confused is that my hubby and I only started trying a week ago, yet these symptoms came on before that! My last period was earlier than expected and lighter than normal... yet, heavier than spotting!
Any ideas?

I just wanted to answer some of the questions.
I have no children despite 6 pregnancies... all miscarriages.
The last test I did was yesterday.
Dr wont do blood tests yet, told me to wait and see. Useless man.
I could be four weeks I could be eight so I dont know how long until a test is likely to work.
Only one of the pregnancies was similar to this, which is why I'm not sure. And yes with that one I did gain weight very quickly.
To those of you who had nothing better to say than 'how should I know' - I posted here as my doc is not use, tests are coming back negative and I'm really confused. I wanted to know if anyone could think of anything I could do or anything that would cause these symptoms other than pregnancy!
Thanks for all the useful replies

Having been pregnant so many times, and knowing the symptoms, would steer me towards yes. However, it's so hard to say...did you gain the weight very quickly? Is that what happened the other times? Did you have your period any of the other times you were pregnant? Oooh, I hope you are! What a hard call. I hate to say as I know this will be your biggest answer, but you should see the doctor. To take a test, yes, but perhaps he should check to make sure there's nothing wrong, like a thyroid problem, etc. How long 'till it's been 10 weeks? I wonder if the test at the doctor could tell earlier with you?I'll say a little prayer for you that you are and there's nothing wrong! God Bless!!!

i feel foolish giving advice to someone who has been pregnant 6 times...b/c that's 6 more than me! seems like you should know your body by now and if you really were pregnant, you would know it. but sounds to me like something is going on. the one thing i do always remind people is that with age, PMS symptoms get stronger. mine did, and it drives me crazy. i think i'm pregnant every month (even when it is impossible for me to be pregnant. lol) you did not say when your last period was, or when in relation to that period that you tested. if you know that you normally don't test positive for 10 weeks...i guess you need to wait ten weeks. have you still had periods for your other 6 pregnancies? there are just so many factors that it's hard to give solid advice. but good luck!

Well, is pretty weird what is happening to you but I recommend you to see a doctor because sometimes women can have psychological pregnancies, that have all the symptoms even see growing your belly but even worse it could be a cancerous cyst, and some women I now had that and they even run pregnancy test and they came positive so you should check before something is not working properly.

I'd go to the doctor and get a blood test, especially since those are more accurate than the EPT tests. You very well could be pregnant, but you're better off getting checked on just in case.

I agree with everyone else, go get a blood test done at your OBYGN doctor! The blood test will tell you 100% if you are or not. Sounds to me like you are....wow you are a baby making machine so I'm sure lucky #7 will be here soon! Good luck

I am not a doctor but you should go to your and ask him/her about the "quantative beta HCG" blood test. You will have to do it twice basically the test measures the amount of hormones being released in your blood it doesn't matter how far along you are because they take it twice and compare the results normally if you are in early pregnancy stages the amount of hormones will double or triple every couple of days so they take one then three days later do another. compare then you will have your result

Still could have been implantation bleeding as long as it wasn't a heavy or clotty flow you could still have been. When did you test? are you late? If the you are late I would say to retest or better yet GO TO THE DOCTOR and get a blood test done they are VERY accurate. Goodluck

It certainly sounds like you may be pregnant. Why don't you just go and have a blood test done? That will confirm whether you are or are not pregnant and you can stop wondering.
