What I mean is if somebody slags you or pokes at you, why do some people even care? Shouldn't we just care about how we feel about our selves and let other peoples negative opinions slide right off of us? Shouldn't we be looking within ourselves for justification and not what other people judge us for?

For that 3rd answer down. Honestly I've never really cared what others think about me with their negative perceptions. I'm happy to just know I'm doing what I think I should be doing! I used to maybe care about some negative thoughts from my parents, but I out grew that fairly quick.

you are right, we should be doing our own work but you have to understand the art of dealing with those pokers. Once you enter a professional life and start performing better than the others, you will come across a group of pokers. What I mean to say is that be aware of them and learn how to tackle it. Do not avoid if you have longterm plans for success.

Be concernd about feelings of someone whom you respect or you think is the geniune and a relaible person. This way you win hearts and eventually set things for you smoothly by making right decisions in personal, professional and career life. Realise other's mistakes and listen to them sometimes coz they really speak with sense at times n that might help u a lot. Hope this reply of mine will keep you in good spirits.

Do not let anyone slag you n if you come across any kinda slaggy then reply like a slaggy so that no one can take advantage n harm you.

Humans by nature is not solitary animals. We live in a community. Even though some people prefer solitarity and stay away from other human contacts. Being solitary does have some strange effects on the mental and emotional well-beings.

So subconsciously, we would like to be loved and embraced by others. Thus on the other hand, we do value what other people's opinion and viewpoint. And sometimes, that backfired and we got hurt by negative comments and opinions.

What others think about you is of no consequence. Every man is a free moral agent to do and believe as he wishes. Others may not like what you do or how you think but in the scheme of things we only answer to God. No one is perfect and if you can live with yourself and you are comfortable with your relationship with God then it's your business and no one Else's. Your relationship with God is a personal matter and no one can answer for your actions or come between you and your God. There are many many religions and there are Churches on every street corner and that is because men cannot agree and they never will. Abide by the law of the land, treat others as you would have them treat you, and obey God's law as you interpret it. People will always have their differences.

Its easier said than done. Of course we can all say "I dont care what so and so thinks," but deep down we do, simply because we need the acceptance from others. Looking within yourself is an ideal situation, but its sort of like people who get plastic surgery. You are never going to be happy with what you were given, and people can't accept their faults are with them for a reason. I totally agree with you though...if we could all find the strength within ourselves, this world would be a better place. =)

exactly, that's what i was thinking the other day, usually it shows a person's own insecurity or vurnerablility, i'm starting to reasearch and learn about History, and the truth is, emotion is the main tool people use when they are uneducated in the matter at hand but are unwilling to acknowledge that fact,
i believe thoses who care less how others feel are those who are
are learned; usually the least educated of us depend on our emotions and faith to prove ourselves right when in theory we should be educated in what we believe.
My stance is, i will always be n the search for truth, so if someone calls me stupid, i'm not hurt as much
when you are humble, you less to be offended
when you are totally right, you are most likely to get offended

We should but somehow we end up losing sight of that. Especially if you were someone that constantly got picked on in school and always belittled by people because of a certain flaw that you have that they take and exploit.
Then there are the people who were abused and/or belittled by family members usually for no reason.

People care because the are looking for acceptance from others.

Most children today are not taught self confidence, not taught how to win and lose, not taught how to appreciate themselves and their abilities, how to appreciate individuality. Most children are programmed to follow a leader, and do as they are told, to fit into the norm.

We all should be able to appreciate ourselves and be happy with ourselves, but alas we are programmed from a very early age that we need others to approve of us.

I really don't care. I just put on a show at work when dealing with the public. I just play head games with people to make them think I'm a fine upstanding young man. When I go home, the show is over. lol
