If you dont have a time limit tell them that you are paying for servis you are not recieving and threaten to take them to traiding standards if they dont sort it out properly and ask for compensation for calls and down time if they dont do anything go to traiding standards Start writing a log of all calls and also the falts and times on and down time for evidence also write them a letter call centers are not always customer friendly

Please let me know the result as exactly the same thing keeps happening to me on ntl broadband. The usual message is "can not find server" I go through all the procedures you do, including the long phonecall!!!" Next day it happens again.

Would be more than interested to know why/how to fix it.
Good luck

You might have a certain cut off point in time with your ISP...Like 3 hours then it makes you re dial in...Also go to your Outlook Express and alter the time to receive mail to like 5 minutes...If you have a idle time with your isp, its prob 20 mins it will cut off after that time...By changing when it looks for mail it confuses it and it wont cut you off...Good Luck
