SHE needs to report that to the police. If it is on file about what happened, no judge is going to give him custody. Wait until after everything is said and done and then beat the **** out of his sorry ***!

My advice is to mind your own business. She's married yet his mother keeps the kids, right? I don't need to know about THAT story, because it is a red flag for sure!
No lawyer will tell a woman to stay in an abusive marriage to be awarded custody of the children (another red flag or an outright lie).
Since she stays with her husband, she must be content with the living situation and what well meaning husband wants his wife to be an "exotic dancer"? I'm sure there are shelters for abused women she can go to for help and they'll even work with her to get a respectable job and win her kids back, too.
I'm willing to bet the black eyes came from a drug induced argument that got out of hand and if her husband beats her, what makes you think he won't do the same thing to you (especially if he's using cocaine, crack or crank)?
All your friend needs to do is call the police, show them the black eyes and she'll have enough proof to gain custody of her kids.
Most of the time getting involved in other people's personal problems will back fire and blow up in your face. This violent situation requires professional help that a well meaning friend can't help with.

You should also tell her that being an"exotic dancer" will make it harder to get custody of her children too. She needs to get a different job, press charges against her spouse for battery and abuse (which will remove her spouse from the house) and get her kids. Why does the mom-in-law have the kids aways? If theres no legal reason go get the kids. And get a different lawyer

Well... u shouldn't intervene. If she is already looking for a divorce, then she must do what her lawyer says, which is wait. If u go and beat the guy's ***, then u'll get ur friend in trouble and it'll be harder for her to get custody of the kids. What she can do is to go to live to another place. Do not see her husband until the divorce is ready. I also recommend for ur friend to get another job, because it'll be harder to get the custody of the kids when the court knows about her job. Tell ur friend good luck!!

I genuinely have a sister who's an ex-cutter. it really is between the most scary issues for a non-cutter to journey. if you're solid acquaintances- enable her recognize that you realize why she did it, yet clarify that there are more beneficial effectual shops for you to precise your self. She is suicidal and hence, no count number what, you want to get her help. per chance via chatting with her mom, or maybe a instructor/important. She might want to be disenchanted interior the start- yet once she figures out that you lover her (as a pal purely) she will be able of be so satisfied to entice close someone cared sufficient to shop her existence. about her liking you in that way- i'm particular that she is blended up at present, aparently there are issues in her existence which do not make experience to her. Take it as a praise. Please get her help- at present!!

MIND YOU OWN FNNN BUSINESS!!!!! AND GET A LIFE!!!
You'll be in jail
(If she is an exotic dancer, it is the equivalent of a prostitue) how is the judge going to take her serious? Exotic dancers are very lost people, if she was an intelligent woman she would've moved out of town ages ago and wouldn't have been with a loser, let alone allow him to beat her and treat her like garbage, so she must feel like such for her to let anyone treat her that way, what a disgrace to innocent children and society.
What does she expect, if she doesn't respect herself, how are others going to respect her.

You could kidnap him, and keep him locked in a cage in your basement, beating him at random times throughout the day, until the kids come back, and then let him go when she gets her stuff out of the house. Oh, and change the locks before she leaves, just for kicks. Maybe leave thumbtacks underneath the sheet on the bed? Slash his tires, put all his belongings in the front yard marked "FREE TO A GOOD HOME", and give him a "Stupid Hick" tattoo across his forehead.
Just a thought.

Tell her the next time the creep lays a hand on her to call the police. Either that or grab the kids and head to a women's shelter with them. She needs a new lawyer as well.. Just tell her to keep calling the cops.

you going to beat him will make him mad and he will take it out on her. She has to leave him and no one else can do anything to help her at this this. And if she stays to get her children then she will have to do so. But i wonder why she needs to stay if she is a fit mother and takes care of her kids she can still get them even after she leaves him. She would get custody. I hope everything goes well and she is not going to get beat or anything again because no one deserves a life as such. He will be suffering as soon as she and her kids are gone trust me. They always do.

Speaking as another woman.
She should place a restraining order on her husband and get away from the abuse before something more serious happens to her. That's strange advice from an attorney (male, I'll bet).
If the children are safe with the inlaws she shouldn't worry. Her safety is important now.
You shouldn't get youself involved in their violence.
