i mean the volume required of mortar per block?

How many 8" blocks can be used with a bag of cement?

Premix mortar will tell you on bag how many block it does with different size joints. And how sloppy a mason you are. Usually 10-13 8" block per 60 lb. bag.

Depends on how you butter your blocks. If you just do the two outer long sides, then probably 60 - 80 blocks/ 90# bag. If you do the inner web as well then 50 - 70 blocks.

The question isn't complete....depends what you are doing with the block!
