As answers to this question again show, humanity will put its foremost effort into proving (or disproving) that we are NOT the only multi-cellular life form in the (known) universe.
I also sincerely hope that this question will be sorted soon, once and for all. Maybe then we finally come to our senses and stop killing each other for religious reasons.....

That is unless a genius comes around (like a second Albert Einstein).

Also the universe had a beginning the current theories are the Big Bang and the God creating earth in seven days thing (or maybe it was six days I don't remember).

I think humans will continue as always. Theres always the unknow 'x' variable that could unexpectedly destroy all living beings on the planet, as we know it. There's always the possibility that powerful asteroids may hit the Earth with such great force that they fracture the planet into asteroids.
