There's no obvious way to do it.

People used to get paid for dancing or sitting in chairs at people's business or clubs. (This would up the traffic count, giving them a bonus from Linden plus drawing MORE traffic.)

However, I think the traffic reward has been lessened / stopped, so it's not lucrative any more.

Um....I won't bother with mentioning the "world's oldest profession" trade, which probably draws more money than many "normal" SL businesses. But it's a lucrative profession for obvious reasons.

Other than buying and reselling land (i.e., real estate market), you really need a trade to ply -- some service or item or talent (there are online musicians now, for example) that you offer that people are willing to spend Lindens on.

Check around and see if people need "models" for their clothes. Some stores (like the skin shops) have live models to show what the items look like in virtual 3D.
