Yes. While these areas are still common, they were more universally used in years gone by, before the Internet, and before it was common for many men to be openly gay. Today a lot of older gays go for the social aspect of seeing and talking with the guys they cruised with in the 70s and early 80s, and you'll still find the married bi guys, etc., who just go to the park on a whim.

There are "cruise areas" but more often than not they are frequented by both Bisexual guys as well as those who's life/living situation make coming out a hardship. Simply going to a cruise area does not indicate they are looking for a sexual encounter although many do.

Yes, there are cruising areas such as parks; however, these are used primarily by closeted and/or married 'bisexual' men who avoid "public" places such as clubs, restaurants and other venues that are well known to the GLBT community (not necessarily as cruising spots, it should ne noted).
I've learned recently, via the magic of undercover television reportage, that truck stops are the primary designated cruising areas for straights. It appears "lot lizards", or hookers, call those places their uh...offices.
Hehehe...."lot lizards". That's vulgar, nasty and funny at the same time. Straights just crack me up sometimes. Gotta luv 'em! ;)

poor eric, yes there is and there is books out to let you know where to go in various cities around the continent. so if your curious about it check it out. not so bad for a "wham bam thank you man". i mean isn't that all you want. it's called a quickie and for the most part you don't even need the name. except if their really good at what they do then you might want seconds later.

In most cities there will be spots that they go to get the dirty deep done. Easy for them to get off and more discrete

Yes, it's true. There are even web sites, such as cruisingforsex.com, that list the sites by areas so guys that prefer anonymous encounters can find them.

yes, its remarkably common. there are lots of parks or sections of parks and vista stops along freeways that are well known cruise areas where gay men go to hook up for a quickie of sorts. i dont have issues with gay people, but it bugs me when me and my family have to avoid certain rest stops on a road trip or parts of nice parks because of this behavior.
