Once you open these bags, it's a countdown to slime....

Yes, I am asking a question. How long does a bag of salad last in your refrigerator, after it is opened, probably the Spring Mix variety, assuming proper temperature, but maybe frequent openings of afore mentioned refrigerator, until you notice that it begins to degenerate probably due to some bacterial activity, albeit from field exposure, animal exposure, or any other unforeseen reason, until finally it is a bag of salad that is no longer discernable as salad, preferably Spring Mix, but instead resembles a bag of slime??????????
ANY OTHER QUESTIONS ABOUT MY QUESTION?

Hello,

It will start to "morph",in three days...
As it depends on how you store it...
And just how much you and your man consume each time you munch...
And it will also depend on which type of leaf you choose to buy...
As some will last for almost two weeks...

Thank You

approximately two weeks, four hours and thirty-six seconds...give or take a second for altitude said bag of spring mix is located in...and the "coldness" of ones fridge may differ from others. Having discovered this after a family vacation... and forgetting to throw out all lettuce before leaving i know that if your gone for 4 weeks and 7hours...said slime will eventually develop combustible capabilities and turn into a small localized bomb, coating vegetable compartment and creating it into a gooey chamber of hell.

That would be between 4 and 5 days. I can tell you for a fact. I've had it happen. Never buy too far ahead on these and always check the bags at the store for the newest expiration date.

Two or three weeks, if stored in the vegetable drawer after opening. Strange how it just rapidly disintegrates after you open it...but I've kept unopened bags of salad in my fridge for weeks and they look fresh past the expiration date.

Two day after the expiration date although I have had them die on me before they were scheduled to die.
