When I put a disc in it, it just freezes up and makes this weird sound like a broken record player that just keeps repeating this clicking/scratching sound. Someone told me it could be the laser lens thingy is messed up. Any advice?

Hmm. Well, is it the Flat PS2? Or the large one...argh, this coul be said for later.

Perhaps you should take it down to a good repair place...I put it in a pawn shop, since they repair and refurbish things for a low price. ^_^

properly, your question became slightly ineffective, seeing as how we do not understand what the region is, purely that there is one. in any case, an issue-free situation is the lens being dirty (in older fashions, once you've the narrow it isn't likely), in case you want to the thanks to apply it then placed "ps2 lense cleansing handbook" or something right into a search for engine, in the different case let us know what the surely situation is.

if you still have the box to the ps2 you can send it to Sony they will fix it, and plus you don't have to risk breaking it anymore
