i had to try out for ODP and what i did was just strech a lot, you dont want to pull anything. Jog often mayb 3 times a week. but dont push it too hard u dont want to be tired for the tryouts. finally u gave to get a good nights sleep be4 the tryouts or else ull be dead the next day and when u wake up have a healthy breakfast and strech sommore.

ps if u want to impress some of the coaches get some inside scoops on soccer teams and talk to them about it...theyll think ur some soccer wiz

As for running or jogging, I would do more sprinting. Do ladders they're the mot effective like go 10 yards back 20 back 30 back. Also do a lot of dribbling coaches reallly like if you can handle the ball well. Also really work on your left foot or whatver your main foot isn't. That helped me out a ton being able to use both.

well i kno i have my tryouts tommorrow and if you do too, their isn't much you can do now but relax, get a good nights sleep and get in the right mindset that you are going to give all you have at tryouts and make the team. Also eat a good breakfast like and hour or so before you have to play. while your at the tryouts, stay hydrated, its important.

Well I think conditioning has been covered.

Also - footwork - foundation - basic moves with the ball. The more you can do with the ball without looking at it, and the faster, the better.

Trapping - bringing the ball to your feet - or trapping to space - as a pass - trapping to space so you are moving right away instead of standing with the ball.

Attitude. Coaches want aggressive players, but not the kind to take out their own teammates. If you make a mistake - don't freak out about it, get down on yourself or apologize a hundred times. Pick yourself up, keep your head up and move on and do well - don't dwell on the negative.

Conditioning, conditioning, conditioning. Oh yeah, did I mention conditioning? Run distance to build up specific muscles required for endurance over a 90 minute game. Run sprints also to build up the muscles required for quick bursts and pivots.

As far as drills I would do basic dribbling/ball control exercises so you can move with the ball without looking at the ball. Also have someone kick or throw the ball to you so you can practice trapping and moving off that spot right away.

Coaches look for skills but they also look for people with or without endurance.

Why don't you try just kicking the soccer ball around in your back yard. Or make a net or buy one and practice kicking into the net. Also if you can have friends or family members help you by kicking the ball to them and so forth, that should work.

Yeah, you definitely can not run enough. Make sure you are comfortable with at least 3 miles of running.

Also, be comfortable with using your head and your body with the ball.

And have a good spirit. Coaches like perseverence and confidence.

depends on the team you playing for because each team trains differently ive got trials for a semi pro teams and already been to 1 and the training sessions are quite tiring just try to improve on your fitness to start with but dont do it to much you dont wanna cause yaself an injury but if your a good player everything else will come natural and youll become a better player.
