Well, they're boots with a small steel plate in front to protect the toes. So it wasn't much of a reach, that moniker.

Simply due to the small, but incredibly large piece of paper metal that is placed outside the inside of the heel area, around the toes.
They have been found to be a terribly wonderful, naturally occuring man-made creation. They have saved countless toes(around ten, I think) as a result of head trauma's.
Some people just DON'T understand, sigh.
