The worlds weapons business is doubled through terrorism. All those weapons manufacturers are indirectly supporting terrorism for the sake of their business. When it attacks them that becomes a big issue and the nations fight back and that again creates business for them.
Whoever gets the benefit of a particular situation is playing a hidden role in maintaining that situation for their business.
The countries that fights against terrorism is not trying to eradicate it totally. But they want it to happen in other countries and it is their business.

Simply because some Americans insist on painting all different ethnic groups with the same brush - the BinLaden's were in immediate and immanent danger following 9/11. It wasn't too cozy and friendly for any Muslim in this country, for that matter.
