What would it be considered if someone made up a rumor about you and wrote it down in a notebook of some kind and then 10 years later someone else was reading it and confronted you about it but you know it wasn't true and everyone else knows it wasn't true and the person who wrote about it isnt around to explain themselves? would you consider this a lie? Especially if its something big....and the overwhelming majority of Evidence proves that it never happend. What would you consider it?

Then why do people believe the lies that are in the bible? Especially when there is not even a shred of evidence to back it up....Ex. The massacre of the innocents and the entire exodus story....yet everyhting else that happend during these times are documented...sounds like religious gossip to me.

That would be Fiction. Fantasy. Make-believe.

It's also unwise for a person knowing that someone wrote that about them to not raise an objection at the time. There are such things as slanderous comments and the person who makes them can be taken to court and made to explain, apologize and even pay.

The person who read it and confronted you about it will have to believe you, particularly since others know the truth......if they don't and choose to keep this ugly rumor going, they could be liable to slander as well.
