Well first of all.....Get the hell over it! Don't you listen to anything President Bush Says!! If you don't celebrate your birthday then the Terrorists have really won! There have been horrible horrible events all throughout history that have happend on peoples birthday's but to dwell on them and let them ruin your life even 5 years later makes them even more powerfull of a statement...Im not saying you should act like it never happened but pay tribute to thoes people and still have a good time...Im sure none of them would want you to stop living just because they have.

Hey Happy Birthday c.c.!! And now to the question...
Celebrate!! It's a good thing that is actually happening on that date for a change. It's not as if YOU were part of the terrorists or had any part of the tragedy that happened on that day 5 years ago. And 50 is a milestone! I would say to go out and have the best time of your life! I'm sure no one would think any less of you just because you are celebrating your birthday, which happens to fall on 9/11. Be glad that you are here to celebrate another birthday!
And just so you know, I know of what I speak. My father had a heart attack and died on my second birthday.

Your birthday is cause for celebration no matter what else happens on that day. If you don't like celebrating on 9/11, just choose another day to celebrate.

But you are celebrating your birthday, not the awful events of that day. If everyone used your logic, no birthdays would be celebrated because for every birthday, I'm sure there is also another horrid event that happened in the world.

The 9/11 events are not your fault. As tragic as that day was it is still YOUR SPECIAL DAY and many of your family and friends are very happy you are part of their lives so go ahead and celebrate YOU.
Have a wonderful Birthday.
