I had this issue when I was pregnant. my doc told me that they can only use local ansthetic, but that the dentist would want a note saying that you are not a high risk

It is possible to have this done and no you do not have to be put under general anesthesia. If it is possible to wait for some time post partum that would be optimal. You need to have time to bond with the new baby as well. If however the teeth are causing problems for example infection, you may want to consult with both your OB and dentist/oral surgeon to discuss what the best options are. Remember that during pregnancy the baby will deplete you of that great calcium and other wonderful things your body needs . Take care of yourself including your teeth, mind body and soul.

No. The numbing drugs will get in the baby's system. Wait until after birth and breastfeeding.

it'll be too much trauma for you and the baby at this time, plus anything you take (like a pain killer or novacaine) will go directly into the baby's blood stream. just try to tough it out until the baby's born.

Yes, but most dentists want a note from your doc saying that you can get the pain meds.

I would wait until after because you Will have pain after surgery.you will want something to effectively kill the pain and not be harmfull to your unborn child.
