Depends upon the offense. In some benighted areas, possession of a small amount of marijuana (as an example), or certain sexual behaviors in private between consenting adults, are/were until very recently considered felonies....
A violent crime, or something like treason/espionage, or major property/financial crime? Probably not; I'd be likely to handle the issue myself and not waste the time of the court....quite seriously. But if unable to do this, yes, I'd drop a dime on family to get them off the streets.
And it's not just violent criminals that cause significant pain and suffering: ask anyone who lost their financial cushion because of Enron or comparable $^#&*$(*.

No. you see the perception that one has when someone else commits a felony is get them because we as a people demand a sort of justice. when a family member commits a felony than you still have a bond between the two of you that you should not break unless they break it first then seek justice your own way but do not go through the cops ever. if it is not bad than dont worry about it. you should not turn a family member in to the cops.

Probably not unless I really felt they needed it to be dealt with that way. People make mistakes, forgive them and try and help them is what I would do. If reporting them would be the best help for them, than that is the only way I would do that.

Depends on what they did. If it was something no one got hurt, probably not. If was serious and a continuing problem--then probably yes.

It depends on why they did it and what kind of felony it was.

If someone got hurt, yes. If not, I would give them the option of turning themselves in.

If they had killed someone, yes. Because that is irreversible. I wouldn't unless society was harmed or someone was put in harms way. Absolutely!

In a heart beat, if you know about it and don't report it, you are an accessory.
