It won't really hurt the grass if that one person walks over the area to post the sign. That is still OK, it's more to prevent many more to do the same.

Or in some cases, they post the sign before the area can even be affected by anyone, this way, technically walking on the grass is still possible.

perhaps they put it there before the grass has grown yet.

Or maybe the "do not walk on the grass" rule doesn't apply until the sign is planted in the ground; at which time the person placing the sign could take one giant leap off of the grass.

Isn't it better to have one person walk on the grass to place the sign than hundreds of people walking on the grass?

Someone walks in across the grass and puts it there. Then the treatment for the grass is done.

I was informed by a sign shop specialist that these particular signs start out as seeds...... they truly are planted,along with the grass. Like miniature trees, they only grow so big then stop growing.
