all reefs are different.. depending on what animals are living in them, or have made homes...

it is something called live rock.

it has tons and tons of tiny organisms that collect together to make a hard rock. the link below is a picture of it.

i have this in my fish tank, it helps clean the water and provides homes for the fish and crabs.
