I had a teacher in high school who went to UCLA on a volleyball scholarship and majored in Business Economics. She became an Economics teacher and championship volleyball coach!

Actually, the major is quite useful because it combines the theoretical background of Economics with the technical background of business. Right now, for instance, investment banking is hot, and Business Economics is an excellent degree for breaking into that field.
