I am working with a man who is sometimes nice and some times not so nice. He is starting to get on my last nerve. Any suggestions and how to handle this jerk?

Everyday before you start work say you a little prayer and just do what you have to do and go home. You dont need to be friends with anyone at work forget about him he only wants your attention more.

many people are socially retarded. they just don't have a clue as to how to interact with people.

when he acts annoying, try telling him very bluntly and very politely that he is annoying you and ask him to stop doing whatever he is doing because it bothers you.

if that doesn't work, then whenever he starts acting annoying, just give him a look and walk away- even if you have to leave your own cubicle, get away from him. if you yell at him, everyone will think that you are the jerk. if he follows you, still talking- go to the ladies room.

if he STILL can't take the hint, talk to your employer- say, look, i am having problems with (name) because he keeps doing (action). i have asked him on numerous occasions not to do (action), but he just won't listen. i'm finding it hard to do my work because (name) is doing this. could you please talk to him about it?

that should do the trick. ^_^

Yep, just ignore him. I can understand where he would be getting on your nerves, I had a few of them like that where I worked and I basically ignored them. I was polite, but I didn't really socialize with them or address them, unless it was necessary of course.

Be consistent with how you treat him... if possible. I work with a guy like that and he is just trying to get to you. Don't let him. I believe this makes him feel superior to know that he can knock you down whenever he wants. I just go about my business and pretend like he never said anything....
