1. Ferrets bite, some more than others, they smell too.
2. Bearded dragon require special food and care.
3. Parakeet looks the best so far.
4. Rat - cheap and easy to take care of must have cage cleaned three times a week or they smell! Can nip too.
5. Rabbit - don't go there. Will chew the wood work off everything in the house and like to chew cords too.
6. Sugar glider bite.

Well, you can automatically eliminate Rabbits, they DO and will bite. Parakeets can be boring. Sugar Glider, awesome, Hyper. Bearded Dragon, depends on where you get it it could be expensive, and it's boring. That leaves the Rat and Ferret. I'd go for the Ferret, they are more fun, they are kinda awesome. Definately not boring. Rats are like hamsters, just bigger. Go for the Ferret.

Rabbit. I've got a mini-rex named Clover. She's just the sweetest pet I could ever hope for.
Females can be a bit cage aggressive if not spayed, Clover grunts and sometimes tries to nip a little if you invade her turf. It's more funny than painful, though. She never actually hurts anyone.
Once you get a female out of her cage, though, she'll be very sweet.
Males can spray their territory sometimes if not neutered. They tend to be a bit more docile, though.
And of course, there are some problems with chewing. Just as long as they get plenty of chew toys and you rabbit-proof your house, they'll be fine.
Clover likes blocks of wood. Kiln-dried pine is always good; you can get some at just about any hardware store. Make sure it's not painted or pressure treated, of course. Wood and bark from apple trees is always nice, and sisal rope toys are fun. cardboard without any ink on it is good, so are plain brown paper bags and paper towel rolls. Chew sticks from pet stores are often quite boring.
Some of the plusses of having a rabbit are that they can have run of the house or certian rooms without any trouble, they can be litterbox trained, and they are very friendly and affectionate, but can also sometimes be a bit aloof. (think of a combination of a dog and a cat)
They're also very intelligent, and you can fairly easily teach them to do tricks.
If you don't want an energetic breed, I suggest that you go with a larger breed. mini-rexes tend to be pretty active, but Clover kinda spazzes in new situations. Most mini-rexes, though, are quite calm despite the fact that they're a smaller breed. If you're looking for something a little less energetic, a mini lop is a good choice, and if you're really looking for a pet that never moves, I'd suggest a french lop.
But honestly, rabbits can make wonderful, affectionate, smart, pets if you just give them the chance.

well too me bearded dragons are boring, parakeets are cool but take a lot of work and training, rats are cheap, friendly and interactive and not too energetic but i don't know about the biting thing mine never bit me but you can never really tell, i don't know much about rabbits but from what i know they are pretty cool all of the things you want but you need to be able to let them roam around the house out of its cage for awhile and be prepared to pick up rabbit droppings., and sugar gliders are really expensive and complicated to take care of. good luck hope this helps what ever one you decide to get i hope you do some research on the proper ways to care for it

Rat, for sure. They are highly intelligent and social. They are easy to care for and don't stink. Ferrets are too hyper, Bearded dragons are too wild and dangerous. Rabbits are boring and sugar gliders are too lame.
