I only saw it yesterday, as i thought anything with him in would only result in swearing, swearing and more swearing. But i was bored and there was nothinig else on TV He is a total retard!!

I know i was expecting that to be better then it was, i was quite disappointed too i mean its Eminem so i was expecting bad language but it was all about a lot of nothing, poor very poor the only thing the held me to watch was Britteny Murphy she was OK in it but as an ER fan i did not care much for Mehki Phffier part in 8 Mile Either

I actually liked 8 mile and Eminem's acting, I liked it enough to own it on DVD! I mean he was alright, he wasn't any worse than any of these other musicians turned actors. I mean I didn't expect to get Denzel Washington or Kevin Costner, and it was better than I expected. It is in no way as horrible as you are making it out to be! Many musicians have done way worse, I mean who other than Will Smith and Ice Cube have made it from Hip Hop to Hollywood with ease? Although I love 50 Cent, and I don't care what nobody says, he CAN act! (And do ANYTHING else!)

There is thing about actors playing themselves and they usually do it vey well.
Denzel Washington playing a strong black man (Glory, Malcolm X, The Hurricane, Training Day)
Sean Penn playing white trash (Bad Boys, Fast Times, Colors, Dead Man Walking, Mystic River)
Keanu Reeves playing an idiot
ba-dump-bump.
I think Marshall did fine in that movie, however I have read he is going to be the lead in a remake of the western "Have Gun, Will Travel", sounds dicey.

Me and my husband watched it on DVD about a year ago and we got so bored watching it, we turned it off after an hour. The acting was crap , the film itself was boring and the film is obviously just one big ego trip for Eminem and it is definately overrated.

Considering he was playing himself, it was a pretty poor performance.
Not the worst film I have seen, and worth watching for Brittany Murphy alone, but given the chance of watching it again, I am sure I would put on something else on.

in case you do not prepare, this is fairly good. not something astonishing, even with the undeniable fact that it really is a good indicator you're in respectable structure. you could surely get into the 7's in case you ran some miles a week.

On a less pedantic note I thought the film was ok ish. He was basically acting out his life story so it mustnt have been too taxing for him

In actual fact, Eminem is a total fake and nothing like his image. It is a travesty that such a role model is allowed in society, it is just a marketing ploy to sell records.
