Make-up tips? Best answer gets 10 points!?

Question

I'm in 10th grade and I have this weird feeling that I'm supposed to be wearing make-up! lol....I guess I could wear eyeliner but I have no idea how to put it on. Can someone tell me how to put it on and what other make up I should wear that would be subtle. Keep in mind that I'm dark-skinned! lol K....THANX! ♥

Yes I am more white but the tone is right for me, if you go to a store like Macy's or a store similar to that in the mall they give you a free gift kit alot of the time too. They are awesome, I have been using these products for years. I have clear skin and look young. I swear by the stuff. As for the eye liner, liquid is more dramatic and get a very black not a brown. It takes practice but you will get it. Also this make up cost more but it lasts longer than the drug store type make ups and I actually pay less for a better product. For just the liquid eyeliner that is fine to get at the drug store though, water proof is best.

Ok, eyeliner for a dark-skinned 10th grader.
Firstly you don't want to look hoochy. You want to look just right and styled. So, a nice colors for your skin are:
True Black
Silver
Golden/Metallic
Aqua Blue

All these colors will make your eyes POP! Firstly take the pencil, or the brush (if you are doing a liquid or powder). Apply right underneath and as close as you can to your lash line, whether you're doing it on the top or the bottom. You can choose to do either one or both.... For school, go with the black just because its more subtle. If you're going to a restaurant, or to the mall with friends, be bold and use an aqua blue which will look sooo great against your dark skin.
Other makeup that's subtle can be just a pink gloss, which by the way CARGO is a great brand for light, sheer glosses. Also, to add some color to your cheeks, use some BENEFIT STAIN. Its sheer and a liquid and will look great against your skin.

Just because you're in the 10th grade doesn't necessarily mean you need to wear make up. But if you want to wear eyeliner choose a soft color but since you have dark skin go with black, charcoal or a dark brown. To put it on your upper lid you put it just above the roots of your eyelashes. On the bottom you apply it directly under the roots or above and the closer you get to the corner of your eye the less you put on..it should almost be like a fade away. Hope that helped!

Hey you don't have to wear make-up and you shouldn't feel like you have too, I'm going into grade 12 and I only wear makeup every now and then. If you want to wear eyeliner then you have to sharpen it and draw a straight line (or the best you can) and then (I use a Q-tip) to smudge it into the lash line. The more you do it the better you become. If you want to wear more make you there's coverup or foundation which is best applied with a make up sponge and therea also poweder which is applied over the foundation or you can wear the poweder alone. Mascara is another thing you can wear which will open up your eyes and doesn't look like you over did it. Just becareful and make sure you buy the right color of foundtion coverup and poweder for your skin tone if you do decide to wear it.

The only eyeliner that I wear is white. Yep, that's right, white eyeliner! Just apply white eyeliner on the skin above the bottom lashes, this makes your eyes pop and look way bigger!!! This is also a great tip for when you look and feel tired, just apply the liner and no one will ever be able to see that you missed a few extra hours of sleep! Hope this helps!

Don't buy liquid eyeliner, that stuff is impossible to use! Get an eyeliner pencil darker than your skin. A magnifying makeup mirror is indispensable for applying any makeup, and they last forever! Just practice when you don't have to go anywhere. I like to use one of the eyeshadow applicators to blend the line, so that it's not obvious. With dark skin and dark eyelashes already, all you really need to do is add some tinted lip gloss!
If you don't need foundation, don't use it. It could just make your face break out. Then you'd have to wear it!

WOW, If you can go without wearing make-up, you should. If you want to wear eyeliner..close your eye pull slightly on your eye(the end opposite your nose) and slowly put eyeline from corner to corner just along your lash line. For other tips..I would go with a slight shiny eyeshadow just below your brows and then some sort of tan from lashes up to the brow...The color shadow you were depends on the color of your eyes..if there brown you can really go with alot of different shadows. If you like lipsticks or gloss....keep it close to your natural color

If it's your first time applying makeup, I highly suggest that you go to a cosmetics counter like MAC or Bobbi Brown, and you can get them to teach you how to do it (you might have to buy some of their products though). It's best to learn from someone who has some experience in this area, plus they'll be able to recommend colours/shades that would suit you. Or if any of your friends wear makeup, maybe you can ask them for some tips/pointers.

If you're not willing to pay for someone to teach you then, it's gonna have to be by trial and error - that's how I learned.

I'm 18 and I don't wear make up. Only subtle eyeliner and eyeshadow when I went to dances at school or to a party. But I learned a lot of tips for future references when I go out. so Thanks too!

wel i'mgoing to 10grade and like u me 2 i hve a feeling i should start using makeup by makeup i mean foundationconclear and eyeliner i already wear liplgoss and sometimes eyeshaow and well u dont really have to wear makeup if ur in 10 grade if u have beautiful skin so i suugest dont use makeup tomuch coz well u dont really need makeup if u have beautiful skin and dont use eyeliner just use eyeshdow or liplgoos coz well u dont really need to wear eyeliner
