I have a video ipod and decided to start using it with an old computer i use to have. The computer doesn't recognize the ipod or anything when I plug it in. I reloaded the software and nothing.

Suggestions??

It may be that the computer is too old and doesn't have the windows system the iPod needs.

it is probably because it is an old computer but try opening up task manager which is by CTL, ALT, DELETE and go to processes if there it is not recognized then the computer is too old and you should use a new computer and i think iTunes is only compatible with macs and either windows 2000, XP, or higher so if it is not one of those operating systems then that is you're problem

Your computer is probaly too old, and it ipod/itunes only works with Windows, so if your computer is anything, but that it wont work even if its newer

What OS is your old computer. If its windows and you started you iPod on a mac then you have to format it.

you need to get the newest windows software i have the same ipod and with the new windows edition i can get free music for my ipod.
