WELL I'm just hoping that you can drive. most current drivers know that you go to the Department of Motor Vehicles. You can look that up in your state or ask anyone who looks like a driver in your neighborhood and they will tell you how to get there UNLIKE california you can just apply for a DL w/o taking a long test. When I moved from Dallas to SoCAL i had to take a test and all this to get a CA DL. That's so crazy. TEXAS is better. Anyway Regardless of what state you are in. I highly recommend you visit this site
http://www.dmv.org/
you can type in your state and they will give you the closest dmv next to you. I had to go through same thing in Cali. I remember asking some fool and they didn't know. Good luck

Start at Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) They will have a book for you to study from. When you pass the written test, you will get a learner's permit that will allow you to drive with a licensed driver. After you have practiced driving you can take the road test to get your license.

Texas Department of Public Safety. The DPS. They're in the phone book. Call them to find the requirements & maybe go to the office and pick up the books to study that will help you pass the test. They have them at the local branch offices.

Start by going to your local BMV. Grab a brochure about what you need to present to prove your identity. Also pick up a Texas driving manual, it'll tell you want you need to get your license if you've never had one or if you're transferring from another state.

You should go to the DPS office (Department of Public Safety) which in other states is more than likely called the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles).
